Lemuria

Lemuria is based upon a visionary experience I had where I encountered a beautiful, paradise-like realm filled with geometric animals, including tigers, swans, butterflies, snakes, and other creatures all living together in symbiosis.

The vegetation was lush and vividly green, surging with so much life that the entire landscape seemed to breathe and pulsate with a radiant rainbow aura. Within this environment stood a beautiful temple that appeared Greek in origin, yet far more technologically advanced. The temple rested upon an island in the middle of a river whose waters seemed to continue endlessly into the distance.

During the experience, something within the vision communicated to me that this place was Lemuria. I understood it as a lost paradise, similar in concept to Atlantis but connected to the Pacific. The entire realm felt like a place where nature, animals, technology, and the landscape existed together as one interconnected living system.

That experience ultimately gave the artwork its name.
