Saturn and Capricorn lock the structures of limitation into place with the cold patience of a force that does not need to hurry because time itself is its instrument, while Yule marks the deepest darkness of the year where what has been bound remains bound until the light returns to reveal it. Salt crystallizes attachment into its most permanent and unyielding form, the residue of desire hardened by repetition into something that feels indistinguishable from necessity. Lead reflects the crushing weight of chains that are no longer even recognized as chains, the heaviness of a bondage so thoroughly internalized that it presents itself as identity. Through Putrefaction, the illusion of necessity begins its inevitable decay, the slow and uncomfortable dissolution of what the self believed it could not survive without.
