The Planetary Heptad of Jupiter

Heptad of Jupiter

This section examines each individual heptad as presented in Occultum Lapidem: The Planetary Heptad, and functions as a companion framework to the Aeon of Da’Ath Tarot. Each heptagram is structured around seven points, with planetary correspondences positioned along its perimeter. These correspondences are not treated as symbolic ornaments, but as the essential spiritual qualities embodied by the seven classical planets.

Within every heptad, the ruling planet appears in its own direct expression. This is the planet reflected through itself, its pure spiritual quality, unmediated and foundational. From this central principle, the remaining six correspondences articulate how that planetary force refracts through the other classical influences.

Each planetary expression follows a consistent metaphysical structure. Saturn corresponds to one of the seven classical metals. Jupiter aligns with one of the seven archangels. Mars is expressed through one of the seven Goetic spirits, each governed by the counterbalancing authority of the angel that rules over it. Sol corresponds to one of the seven Olympic spirits. Venus is expressed through one of the seven planetary spirits. Mercury aligns with one of the seven Hebrew double letters. Luna corresponds to one of the seven planetary intelligences. Additionally each color corresponds to one of the Sephirots on the Tree of Life in relation to the Golden Dawn’s queen scale color assignment.

Together, these correspondences form a closed system, mapping how a single planetary force manifests across multiple layers of reality, material, spiritual, cognitive, and operative. Each heptad functions as a complete circuit, revealing the internal logic of the planet rather than a collection of isolated symbols.

What follows is the Heptad of Jupiter, outlining how Jupiter’s essential nature is expressed through each of these seven correspondences.

Jupiter of Saturn – Physical Embodiment (Tin)

Tin corresponds to Jupiter as expansion stabilized into form. Unlike lead’s density, tin is lighter, workable, and protective, often used to preserve and coat other metals. This reflects Jupiter’s nature as growth that requires structure to endure. Jupiter expressed through Saturn becomes beneficence made durable, abundance that must be contained to remain constructive.

Jupiter of Jupiter – Divine Governance (Sachiel)

Sachiel represents Jupiter in its pure and unmediated state. This correspondence governs generosity, justice, and lawful expansion. Jupiter here acts as the principle of divine order that increases without chaos, authority that blesses rather than restricts. Sachiel embodies Jupiter as providence, guidance, and the ethical distribution of power.

Jupiter of Mars – Raw Force (Astaroth)

Astaroth corresponds to Jupiter as force amplified by ambition. When Jupiter moves through Mars, action becomes assertive expansion, conquest with ideological justification. This aspect governs the drive to extend influence, territory, or belief systems. Jupiter moderates Martian aggression by framing it as purpose-driven rather than purely destructive.

Jupiter of Sol – Ruling Intelligence (Bethor)

Bethor expresses Jupiter’s influence over leadership, sovereignty, and visible authority. Through the solar principle, Jupiter becomes magnanimous rulership, power exercised through wisdom and favor rather than coercion. This correspondence governs success, honor, and the expansion of influence through recognition and legitimacy.

Jupiter of Venus – Vital Energy (Hismael)

Hismael reflects Jupiter’s expansive influence on vitality, attraction, and relational bonds. Desire grows generous, pleasure becomes abundance, and connection widens into alliance. Jupiter here amplifies Venusian energy, promoting fertility, prosperity, and shared enjoyment. This aspect governs growth through harmony rather than restraint.

Jupiter of Mercury – Operation (Kaph)

Kaph corresponds to Jupiter’s influence on communication, exchange, and systems of movement. Thought expands, language becomes persuasive, and operations scale outward. Jupiter through Mercury governs commerce, teaching, and the transmission of ideas across distance. This is expansion through articulation and reach.

Jupiter of Luna – Form & Manifestation (Ophiel)

Ophiel expresses Jupiter’s role in shaping growth within the realm of form and experience. Emotional states broaden, imagination flourishes, and internal worlds seek outward expression. Jupiter stabilizes lunar fluidity into opportunity, optimism, and visible manifestation. This aspect governs growth that feels natural, supported, and internally affirmed.
